Elizabeth Hurley has vowed to campaign to make the UK's streets safer as she offered an update on the condition of her nephew who was "repeatedly stabbed" in a "brutal" attack" in London last week,

Miles Hurley, 21, lost more than four pints of blood after he was set upon by four men while out with a friend in Nine Elms, in the south west of the capital. Scotland Yard said the men got out of a car to attack them.

The actress has travelled to India but said her older sister Kate Curran, 54, was caring for her son, who can barely move and remains in great pain.
